Dining at LA Hotspot: Élephante
Great food and an incredible view. Doesn't get much better than that.
I finally have time to write about my recent sojourn to LaLa Land and I must say that it was one of my best trips ever to the place of sun and fun. My daughter laid out a fantastic itinerary so I will be blogging about it for the next few days.
Today I will share our delightful experience at Élephante one of the hottest rooftop restaurants in LA. My daughter works there part-time, so she selected our menu. Take a look for yourself, here.
The cuisine is light coastal Italian and it was absolutely delicious. I started with a boozy Court Royale gin cocktail. We were immediately sent the banana bread with whipped butter from the kitchen. It was divine. Then we sampled the fried calamari, meatballs, and mascarpone & prosecco arancini. Next was a classic cacio e pepe pizza topped with fresh prosciutto and honey which I enjoyed with a glass of Chalone chardonnay and surprised my daughter by downing a shot of Nosotros Reposado tequila!
We finished off with a passionfruit & white chocolate pavolva and tiramisu. Not surprisingly, I was ready for an early evening nap with the coastal breeze flowing over me.
We had wonderful seats that looked out over the ocean. On a sunny LA day this is a place you should treat yourself as it won’t disappoint.
